About the Publication

The Food & Agriculture Working Group V Output provides sector-specific technical guidance to support credible accounting, reporting, and claiming of emission reductions and removals in food and agriculture value chains. Building on earlier VCI publications, it advances methodological clarity on base year recalculations, substitution, removals accounting, and traceability, aligning with emerging standards such as the GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals Standard and the SBTi Corporate Net Zero Standard v2.0 (Draft 2025) to enable consistent and transparent Scope 3 accounting across the sector.
