About the Publication
This draft guidance is the result of an extensive co-development process, facilitated by the Food & Agriculture Working Group IV of the Value Change Initiative. The working group brought together leading companies, technical experts, and stakeholders from across the food and agriculture sector to address the sector’s unique challenges in reducing carbon emissions and scaling decarbonisation efforts.
The draft guidance builds on previous work, particularly VCI’s Guidance 1.1 (2021). Moreover, the guidance incorporates the latest GHG Protocol updates to help companies understand their potential for compliance.
By inviting broad participation in this public consultation, VCI aims to ensure that the final guidance provides practical, actionable solutions for companies seeking to achieve net-zero value chains in the food and agriculture sector.
